Mind Over Matter: Twisted Fates

“You can see it with your own eyes Sophie. Keeping James alive in his own universe is destroying the universe we built after we defeated Lord Hamuel” Leighseach spat as she said the evil beings name. “That beast nearly destroyed all of creation. We defeated him at an extremely high personal cost to us all, but Sophie by dragging this out with James you threaten to undo all that we have struggled to set right. Surely you understand this” Leighseach asked just as a major fracture appeared on the world's viewer they stood over. Followed by several more spider webbing off of that fracture. Each fracture represented an anomaly on that world. The larger the fracture the more serious the anomaly. The longer the fracture the more impact it would hold over that version of earth.  

Through sobs Sophie agreed “I know it, but Leighseach it’s James.”

“I know dearest but you tried to remove all of the original anomalies and in doing so you created a multiverse with multiple fractures and cracks in them. You have tried to reset each of these universes and now they are all worse than before.The anomalies in each universe still exist, and nothing has been gained from any of this. For goodness sake, on Hannah’s earth she’s a giantess once again and now there are zombies roaming the earth. Zombies Sophie.”

“Well I could just reset that universe again. Let it start over” Sophie tried to say but was cut off quickly by Leighseach..

“Really Sophie? You know good and well that every time you have done that you have only caused more fractures in the fragile multiverse. The anomalies will only get worse. The cracks and fractures all result from him still existing when the universe knows good and well that he shouldn’t.”

Rashly Sophie reached down to the viewer focusing on Hannah’s world she moved her hands along that worlds timeline and reset the world. She made a few changes here and there hoping that perhaps the world would be better off despite what she had seen several times over.

“Sophie aren’t you listening. You know that won’t work. You are only going to make things worse” Leighseach said in a pleading voice. Even though she knew it was too late to do anything about what had just been done.

“Really Leighseach? How could it possibly be any worse than having zombies roaming that earth” said Sophie with a fair amount of defiance in her voice. After all there wasn’t anyone left in Haven that could stop her if she really wanted to do something.

Both goddesses looked back down at the crystal viewer. Sophie with hope and Leighseach with dread.

Everything seemed to be alright right up until the Hannah was born on the freshly reset earth. Once she was born Sophie and Leighseach watched that universe as more and more fractures split off around that worlds timeline.

As fractures began to rapidly form on that earth they noticed several begin to form in James universe. The two goddesses zoomed in to see that Rachel the match they had made for James had somehow ballooned up in weight. The two also noticed that something was happening to the version of Hannah in James’s universe.

The two Goddesses looked up and into each other’s eyes. “Oh my” whispered Sophie.

“Well that is certainly very different for her” said Leighseach.

As she asked Leighseach gasped and pointed at something that they had missed. Two of the universes had fractures that had intertwined them. The one from Hannah’s world had cut straight through Cassandra’s anomaly.

“When did that happen” questioned Sophie as she looked on in disbelief?

“I don’t know but that is Cassandra’s home world. She hasn’t existed in Hannah’s world since we removed each of the anomalys from earth in the first place. This doesn’t make any sense. It looks like they are in college together. Cassandra hasn’t shown any signs of being an anomaly” stated Leighseach with something approaching shock in her voice.

“So what does this mean” asked Sophie.

The two looked back over to James’s universe and zoomed the viewer to Hannah watched to see what the fractures forming around her timeline would mean for her. She didn’t seem to be getting any taller.

Both goddesses breathed a sigh of relief for a moment but then suddenly they both drew in a deep breath as they could see muscle fibers developing and rippling all across Hannah’s normally long and lean frame.

“Mom, somethings wrong” Hannah called down from her upstairs bedroom.

“What is it now dear” Hannah’s mother asked absently as she walked past the stairway in the downstairs foyer? “You know it’s a school night. You have practice in the morning so we don’t really have a lot of time for you to be pulling any stunts to get to stay up later.”

Hannah looked down at her relatively athletic body and swallowed hard as she tried to come up with the proper words to describe what was happening to her body. Finally she shouted “trust me mom this is no stunt.”

Hannah had still not changed out of her jeans and school tee shirt. The shirt was the largest one the school sold in their inventory a double XL and with her normal length it had trouble reaching her waistline. The sleeves usually hung close to her elbows. The cuffs of her pant legs normally rested on the lower part of her calf and were normally pretty tight just due to the fact that they ought to be at a regular sized person’s ankle.

However current event were unfolding that were rapidly changing the makeup of her body and where he clothing would rest on her frame. Her forearms which were normally thin had swollen quickly to nearly twice their normal size as muscle seemed to pile onto her brachioradialis and her flexors. Veins stood up on her arm as her biceps developed and swelled quickly to nearly the size of softballs on her once skinny arms. Causing the sleeves of the shirt to pull tight across her arm before starting to split apart at the seam.

At the same time her triceps became overly developed and more defined and split the sleeves even more.  Her deltoids hardened and put more strain on her shrinking shirt.

The color of the shirt began to rise up her neck as her trapezius thickened and stood up from of normally flat and level shoulders. The muscle on and around her neck also stretched out the neck of the shirt causing the collar to begin to fray and rip in the front.

All of this while her pectoralis major stiffened and pushed her breasts up and out making them much more pronounced than they normally were which was a feat unto itself seeing as they were rather large to begin with.

Hannah couldn’t believe or understand what was happening to her. She was scared out of her mind as she wondered if she would keep getting larger and more muscular. Of course her thought was interrupted as her mom opened the bedroom door just as hannah felt the muscles all across her back stiffen and begin to develop just like those along the front part of her body.

She noticed a surge in her sheer mass as her chest and back muscles swelled larger and her body began to rival that of any body builder she had ever seen. She wanted to double over though when her mid section cramped up and abdominal muscles which had been hidden behind a thin layer of fatty tissue harded and developed all of which forced her small tee shirt further up her midsection and she became thicker and thicker around and wider across.

“Sweet mercy” her mother said when she saw what was happening to her already abnormally large daughter. “How can this be happening” she added right as she heard fabric begin to rip along the sleeves of the shirt her daughter was wearing.

As if all the growth had not been enough her lower body was starting to experience the same sort of problem. Her glutes swelled and became rock hard. Each group of the large muscles in her legs seemed to fight to be larger than the other causing the side seams of the pants to strain both at the top and along the sides.

The added mass and bulk forced the cuffs of the pants higher up her leg before starting to fail.

Looking down at her swollen and drastically transformed physical form Hannah let out a low whistle as she first tried to pull her shirt back down over her ab muscles that stood out over her waistline, bust instead nearly ripped her shirt apart in the process.

She stopped and looked up at her mom who stood just feet away from her in the room
jaw open and slack.

Hannah’s mother reached out and in disbelief touched her daughters arms then her abs before pulling her hand back. “This has to be some kind of witchcraft” was the only thing she could say because it was the only thing that made sense.

Hannah responded by curling her arms up into a perfect flex and finishing off the sleeve all the way down to serratus anterior, and with a wicked grin on her face asked “I wonder if coach will still ask me if I even lift?”

“Still better than zombies, right" Sophie asked with a straight face?
