***FAKE PRESS RELEASE***

Right on the tail of their purchase of the Hannah’s Kind of A Big Deal property Expo Films today announced their purchase  of several other titles from the same online author.

The Studio Spokesperson Sam Mark Anna wasted little time in announcing that the next project to be undertaken by the studio would be the “massively popular” title in the online community titled Water Weight.

The story takes place on a earth where one in three women have some type of superpower or ability. The titular character Lacy, is a party girl with a checkered past who is recruited into an organization who’s tasked with tracking and neutralizing any threats around the world. She does this with her ability to absorb liquids and some unique shapeshifting.

The expanded universe also include two other main character in their own right. One a by the book ultimate superhero, and the other a super strong, muscle bound former ballet dancer.

The studio is talking to several directors who have superhero movie experience but are seeking someone who can handle the stories more comedic elements as opposed to a dark and gritty retelling.

Since Expo Films purchased Hannah’s Kind of A Big Deal weeks ago the entertainment world has been buzzing about other works that might get the green light since an obvious partnership had been stuck with the online author.

Water Weight was the easy choice as it had already been adapted into comic book form and had a built in audience. With a more known property some actresses have already stated an interest in the role, while others are just linked to the busty lead character because of their build.

Those whispered to be in the front running positions are Kat Dennings who has already dipped her toes into the comic book movie business with her relatively small role in the Thor movies, Jennette McCurdy from iCarly fame, Wednesday Addams herself Christina Ricci. Others linked to the role are Summer Glau who no doubt could handle an action movie, then the true dark horses Alice Eve, Ariel Winter, and AT&T ad woman  Milana Vayntrub.

The studio hopes to have this film ready by the Summer of 2018 to compete in the blockbuster summer sweepstakes.

Several factions inside the studio are settling in for the long haul in casting as no clear favorite has emerged for the Superhero role. So far only two names have clearly fallen by the wayside as both Alice Eve, and Milana Vayntrub could garner very little support with the board of directors.

That still leaves five actresses vying for the role of what looks like a massive project that Studio Executive Sam Mark Anna states will be it’s own superhero universe as solo films for both Bethany “Tiny Dancer” and Patricia “The Oracle” are being penned and put into the studio’s rotation for release in the near future.

The board will enter preliminary talks with some of the actresses just to see where they stand on playing the water absorbing, shapeshifting hero.

There have been some whispers that the writer may be secretly hoping for a Jennette McCurdy lead film as she may have been the inspiration behind the character when it was originally written. Still he wouldn’t be opposed to anyone else winning the role outright.

More big news out of Expo Films as they have begun courting Tim Miller to helm the Water Weight movie with options to direct it’s sequel and to become a producer on the expanded universe that the film takes place in. No deal is in place yet but as talks heat up it could happen any time.

Unlike the Hannah’s Kind Of a Big Deal news though the studio landed on a star before the director had got their name on the dotted line. The Studio agreed to terms with it’s lead the very talented Kat Dennings who may just have been born to play the part of Lacy. It is certainly the type of role that could make her a big breakout star.

Attempts were made to contact the studio’s spokesperson to see how the stories writer felt about his choice not getting any real serious consideration beyond a sit and talk. Those attempts were unsuccessful.

More cast is required though as two other major roles are to be cast before production can begin in early March.

It appears that Water Weight is still in search for a director as negotiations with Tim Miller appear to have broken down over the past few days.

Conflicting reports as it looked as though the studio was preparing to announce Tim Miller had gotten the job. As stated by several insider sources Tim Miller the Director behind Deadpool had been offered the job and that a press conference had been tentatively scheduled to make the announcement.

However studio spokesman Sam Mark Anna has since come out and said “while we believe that Tim Miller is a tremendously talented Director, at no point was he offered the Water Weight Director's chair nor has he been brought on board with the larger The White Flash expanded universe. Expo Films is still searching for just the right fit to lead this very ambitious project.”

Attempts to contact Mr. Miller were unsuccessful but it’s clear that while some in the studio thought this was all but a done deal and that he would be an excellent fix a deal could not be struck for one reason or another. So now that leaves the studio flapping in the breeze a little as they continue to try and add cast and crew to this hugely important project all while there is no director attached at this time.

The question becomes just who will the studio get to manage their fledgling superhero franchise before it crashes and burns before it even gets off the ground?

Apparently there was a plan B at Expo Films. Although spokesman Sam Mark Anna says Quentin Tarantino was never a plan B. Instead stating Tarantino was always the studio’s number one choice.

Mr. Anna said in the press conference to announce the agreement between the studio and their new director that they had only been talking with Tim Miller in case the Dusk Till Dawn and Kill Bill Director was unavailable.

Also according to Mr. Anna terms were reached with the studio’s top choice for the Water Weight film(s). If Mr Tarantino will be handed the reins to The White Flash movie universe is still unknown.

Casting will now begin on the supporting characters for this film and the main characters for their own stand alone films. No comment yet on who may be on the short list of actresses to play Lacy’s trainer and mentor.

Mr. Tarantino spoke briefly about his plans for the film during the press conference and he stated simply that it would without any doubt be rated a hard R. Saying “it’s the only way to really capture the original stories true nature.”
Welcome back to the board room. Need help figuring out who should play Lacy in this blockbuster movie. Your vote could determine if Lacy hits the big time or if she washes out.

A little go along with my poll to see who would best fit into the role of Lacy if she was to get the Big Screen Treatment.
This is not for real. Just a little fun side project. Comments as always are welcome.

I've named dropped these celebrities but to my actual knowledge there is no real Water Weight Movie in the Works. It's all in good fun. Comments are encouraged.

If you want to know more about Lacy and her story you can start here Water Weight. You can also check in on her comic book here:
